Fibonacci Levels

Learn on your schedule at your pace. The steps on your educational journey are named after Leonardo Fibonacci, the Italian Mathematician who is credited with describing the sequence of numbers formed by the sum of the previous two: 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55, etc. Just as the magnitude of the numbers in the Fibonacci sequence grows, so too does our program’s depth and breadth. We begin at the beginning with the definitions of terms. We progress to fundamental options theory and its application. Empowered with this knowledge, we progress to paper trading single option legs and simple spread trades.

How Do Our Program Levels Work?

The educational program at Awesome Options is structured as a progressive sequence of levels called Fibonacci Levels. The Fibonacci Sequence is a that sequence of numbers, beginning with zero and one, where the next number of the sequence is given as the sum of the previous two; thus, 0,1,1,2,3,5,8,13,21,34,55… et cetera, into infinity. In this way the Fibonacci levels are labeled 1,2,3,5,8,13 and so forth.

LEVELS 1 and 2

The entry levels, Fibonacci 1 and Fibonacci 2 are complimentary. All that is required is an email address to create an account. You will have 30 days of access to see if the program is right for you. There is a proficiency test to move from Fibonacci 1 to Fibonacci 2.

LEVELS 21, 34, 55, and 89

Fibonacci Levels 21, 34, 55, and 89 focus on the fundamental concepts of option trade. These levels have a nominal fee, and the term of access is three months. Included with Fibonacci Level 21 and above is a copy of The Awesome Options Book - Volume One: Fundamental Concepts.

Is Option Trading Right for Me?

Option trading is by its nature a speculative activity. The trader must not risk capital that they cannot afford to lose. Option prices may fluctuate dramatically and quickly. Losses may occur suddenly and may be large as options provide leverage at 100X of the underlying stocks. Option trading demands that the trader have the ability to decide and act quickly, methodically, and without emotion. The trader may define the risk and may only take trades with a lower risk profile, but trade risk can never be zero.  Option trading is not long term investing; however, option trading is not gambling. The option trader takes a methodically calculated risk for a reasonable, calculated probability of gain. The option trader seeks to enter trades that have a reasonable probability of profit and repeat such a trade consistently over a high number of occurrences. This practice tends to produce results that adhere to the laws of probability and so yield a profit.

The successful option trader must adhere to the following simple rules:

  • First, the trader must keep losers small AND let winners run.
  • Second, the trader must have enough capital and allocate that capital appropriately to allow a high number of trades.

Option trading in general, and day trading options in particular, should be absolutely avoided by the individual who has, has had, or suspects that they may have a gambling addiction. The dopamine rush of random positive reinforcement is a powerful and potentially addictive paradigm that is necessary and integral to option trading. Add to this paradigm immediate results and a high frequency of trades, and addiction may be the result.

Option trading is predicated on a functional understanding of stocks and the stock market. This program is not intended to teach the student about these topics. Consider an operational understanding of stock and the stock market as a prerequisite of our educational program.
